Beaver Fun With Food Day

On Saturday 6 February 2010 a group of our Beavers attended the Fun with Food afternoon run by Dartford District. About 100 Beavers attended from across the District. They enjoyed making a variety of foods including a 'Dangerous Chocolate Cake', mini cocktail stick sandwiches, peppermint creams, chocolate fountain with various fruits and there were lots of biscuits to decorate! During a break where the Beavers had a drink they watched a bread making demonstration. Then it was back to the many stands including mini pancakes, food tasting where they had to taste 2 similar foods and decide which was the healthy option food and which was the full fat version and they could even complete a food related wordsearch. Finally, the birds were not left out and they make a cheerios string to hang up in the garden. The afternoon was a great success and all the Beavers got involved and had a good time.
